Zero Carbon Ireland

The current requirement of the Building Regulations TGD Part L 2007 in respect of new dwellings is for a 40% reduction relative to previous standards (2005) in respect of primary energy consumption and associated CO2 emissions with a further review in 2010 with the aim of extending the requirement to a 60% reduction. The aim is to achieve carbon neutral buildings as early as 2013.
